hello
yes i am the same kirsty.
i'm enjoying having a read throght the site and all the articles and finding them very usefull!
looking foreward to when it's up and running more.
i guess i should introduce myself.
well i live in south west wales. i'm 19. I love all animals and spend most of my time with them. I have 6 ponies, 6 chickens, 2 dogs, three red setter puppies still with me at the moment from my wonderfull red setter dog's litter, 2 llamas. And of course a sugar glider. i am new to owning gliders only had for two weeks. i did have two but sadly as mentioned above there was a horrible accident and sadly my little girl didn't pull through. so now i have 1 sugar glider- rizzo. he's not AT ALL tame yet so it's hard on him at the moment having lost his cage mate and being with a new scary human who he doesnt like or trust so i'm spending tons of time with him trying to comfort him. i as un scary way as possible. anyway thats basicly me at the moment.
i'm so pleased to find a sugar glider forum in the uk!

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your little girl, Kirsty. What a thing to have to go through at any time, let alone at such an early stage!  Embarrassed

We'll do all we can here to advise and help you through the bonding process with your little guy. It's great that you're already trying to see things from his point of view. A lot of first time owners feel frustrated with their suggies, and can sometimes forget just how terrifying it must be for the little ones.  Undecided

So where abouts in Wales are you? I'm an Aberystwyth girl, myself.  Grin Your animals sound amazing!

Yay Kirsty  Grin  Glad you're finding the info useful!  Is there anything else you think we need to add?  As a newbie what other info do you need?  We want to be the best and friendliest forum around so please share with us if you need anything else!  Or if you don't understand something let us know and we'll gladly elaborate and try to explain a little better.   Oh, and a piccie of your boy Rizzo would be good too Smiley

Hello *waves*

When you said wales I was just thiking of Cerian actually, hopefully you live closeish she has a lovely pair of gliders, 2 wonderful girls

you have llamas wow I am so jealous  Grin

I hope your little boy learns to trust you, one of my girls took a long time to bond with me as well but that was because I think she was taken away from mum far to early, It sounds like you are doing all you can, is his cage in the room you sleep in? if they are up and can see and smell you i find this helps.

Good luck with your boy and Im so sorry to hear about your girl
