Help
I have found pipecleaner all on his own, he was stone cold, have got him warmed up and he is currently down my top, i tried "giving" him back to mum as well as the boys in the ganag but they seemed really disinterested in him, mum cleaned him a bit but then left him alone again after a few moments, uncle sweets seemed to be cleaning him but then kep pouncing on his tail when pipecleaner was trying to get away from him. I gace it one last try with mum, she walked over him to go and do something else, all the time poor little pipe cleaner was trying to grab out to her, but she wasn't all that fussed.
Mum doesn't appear hostile at all towards him, just seems to be more interested in other things and despite the fact her little baby is obviously needing her to sort him out she just leaves him sat on my hand.
Should i keep trying to "give" him back?
HELP!!!!!!

right. the gang have all gone to bed so i've popped pipecleaner slap in the middle of them - they all started cleaning him, i've covered them up and i'll check in five mins to see what has happened. Pipe cleaner is far better with the gang than with me - i just hope they dont throw him out

Ok, check him regularly to make sure. Parents leave joey's but not to the point they're stone cold. How old is s/he? Seems to me you're going to have to rear pipe cleaner (is that his/her name now?) yourself. But don't worry Rox, we're here to help. If they kick him out, you need to get him warm, shove him in your bra, but make sure his head is upright (don't worry if he alters this position himself), do you have any kind of hand rearing milk in? Like Lactol? I have no wombaroo left, but don't worry, I'd never even heard of it until years after I'd hand reared Dinx and she's fine Read the hand rearing a joey post and call me if you're worried, I'll pm you my number

Grand.
Yeah - I've got lactol in and have made up a batch already! Steralising the feeding bottles and tetes as we type.
I think it might have been a mistake on their part, Shyler (mum) had escaped and was in the other room, it's possible that she couldn't find her way back, and perhaps the chaps all thought there was no point in keeping pipecleaner (yes that is the little boys name, PC for short) alive if they had no milk to give him? That was how i was thinking anyway, but then when i bought shyler back and popped her down my top to begin with she stayed for a while then came out, i expected to see pipe cleaner with her but she had simply left him with me, and that was that. I wonder perhaps if she felt he was ok with me and went to get food and water for herself maybe, but then that don't explain why she left him the second time i tried to give him back, although she was in the middle of playing with a new toy i got for them.... god, who knows, could be any number of reasons i guess.
I do hope they take him back, it's not that i have issues with handrearing but i know he is much better off with his "real" family rather than some clumsy substitute mum. I am just so glad i found him in time, bless him, he was curled up in a tight little ball and cold as anything, didn't take long to warm him up.
I'll read the handrearing thread and come back with any questions. Thanks Marie!
Christ this site is a god send! You guys are all a god send!
Let me just say again - Unless you have nerves of steel DONT BREED!!!!
Oh - i took a couple of pics of Pipe Cleaner once he was feeling ok so i'll post those later.
