OK, not a glider, but still want to post this hear.

I was doing the massive cleanout yesterday (of the mice).

I have some of my males in a drawer unit which has been adapted into cages for them, i cleaned out Garfunkal (a rescue mouse i took in some time back) i carried the "drawer" back into the bedroom and slid it into the unit, pulled out the next drawer which had milo in and went back into the kitchen to clean him out.

When i returned to slide milos drawer back into the unit, i saw Shyler sitting in Garfunkals drawer trying to scratch to get out, i scooped her out wondering why the hell she was in there and how the hell she was in there, looked down and saw Garfunkal, lying dead, his throat had been ripped out and his back leg eaten.

Poor little man, even now i have no clue how shyler managed it, i can only assume that as i was carrying the drawer back into the bedroom and was sliding it back into the unit she jumped in without me seeing her?  I double checked the unit and there is no way she could have gotton in after the drawer was shut.

Garfunkal was a sweet and timid little mouse, quiet old i think and had terrible scarring to histail and rump.  when i rescued him and his brother Simon they came with the house they were already living in, it was a critter revolution, which  i have to say is the most stupidly unsuitable housing i have seen, and of course, being so unsuitable with absolutely no personal spcase at all the brothers had started fighting, so when they came to me, Garfunkals rump and tail was basically a solid mass of weeping scabs, bless him, of course seperated them, chucked that ghastly revolution in the skip (who the hell designs these things???) and all has been well since, Garfunkal recovered really well and came out of his shell a lot after he and simon were split up, Simon passed away a few weeks back, old age, peacefully in his sleep, i wish Garfunkal could have had the same end, half his life was violent and so was his death, i imagine it would have been pretty quick for him however.

Roll on the housemove when the mice will not be in the same room as the gliders anymore.  Here i have 2 rooms, one with the gliders in the other with the cats in, certainly if i kept the mice in the room with the cats they would have a truly horrible and probably very short lived life (the nature of cats, and gliders)

Poor Little Garfunkal.

RIP little man.

Poor little guy...  Just goes to show that our sweet, innocent little furbutts are ferocious hunters and shoul never be taken lightly.

RIP, little Garfunkal...
