yea holly and the others used to love their grapes too. i cant believe something they love so much is bad for them! though i guess its like vodka with humans! lol
i was wondering also. i give holly lactose-free baby formula milk every 2 days for her calcium thingy, is this safe? she doesnt eat anything with the calcipowder on.
its called sma food for special medical purposes for infants and young chinldren with proven lactose intolerance.

thanks. Onion is a little underweight compared to the others, and a little scraggly looking.
i tried blending all the food together in a mush last night, but they dont seem to like it, they left loads of it.
il try her with the oatmeal and apple sauce to fatten her up a bit. How much and how long do i give her it for?

You want measurements? Eeek, I just chuck some in a bowl! Lol, right, I use about 2 teaspoons of oatmeal, half a teaspoon of applesauce, and add a little boiled water until it is a thick paste. He'll eat as much as he wants, but if it's JUST Onion you want fattening up then make sure ONLY he can get to it. Feed it every other day (every day if he's diabolically underweight which I doubt he is), and continue until he is the desired weight. Have you actually weighed him?

no coz i broke my scales but she is really skinny compared to the others. I worry maybe i not putting enough food in for 6? I fill the bowls, and she first there, but i have a feeling that since Holly went in, the colony heirarchy has changed, and Onion may not be alpha female anymore. Holly seems to have taken on that role. I think Onion is now the omega.
Maybe she losing the weight coz she upset about losing her top status? She is still a nice temperature and her water intake is fine, and i have seen her eat, but i think she may be upset.
She not overly skinny, just compared to the rest she like a midget!
I will get some scales next week though. What is the ideal weight for males and females?

some gliders are just naturally smaller than others. Do you think she has lost weight since you got her? As for food amounts, there should be a little left over in the bowl in the morning, that's how i gage how much i feed them, if the bowl is licked clean with not a scrap left then feed more. Stress can affect the diet of any of us, so things are all a bit new for them at the moment so it might be that she reacts to stress by not eating as much. Best bet is to get her and the others all weighed.

yeah i have 3 and one seperate bowl for the biccies. no she just the same i think, may have lost a tiny bit when with me, but i havnt been able to weigh them since i knocked the scales off the bench and they broke! lol il get some on monday. erm, they lick the biccies bowl clean, but there is always some left in the fruit bowls. maybe she just stressed coz of the heirarchy changing. I will weigh on monday night then post up every1's weights and you can tell me your thoughts.

I no longer feed citrus. Too juicy and messy. Sometimes feed a food w/added iron and citrus makes iron more assimilable.
The pomegranate is messy enough. lol
