I sent Chris to the shop to get fruit cos I wanted to get some cleaning done and don't have time... he's got most of it except the Papaya isn't here and I'm questioning the the Mango.... Seriously I'm confused at what these are infront of me. You live and learn and I wont be sending him again! He says the small things are mangos and the green thing he doesn't know what it is (Why did you buy it?!?) the green thing looks more like a mango though even though it's too green. Am I going to have to go shops anyways??!?!? grrrrrrr

under the heading "mangos" supermarkets get a variety in, some that are yellow when ripe, some red/yellow some green, some are soft and juicy others are more fiberous.

it's a greengrocer he got them from and I'm thinking the green one is the kind they make chutney out of.
I know he's done this on purpose so I don't send him again.... nope

He's doing it on purpose for sure! I'll have to wait for revenge cos he's not well at the moment and that would just be mean!

Half the size of an ordinary mango? Probably Mangosteen.

Id agree with others green one looks like mango (skin and texture!) and we have some like that here depends on if they are imported and then left to ripen
locally as we have an asian area you sometimes get large green/red mangos and sometimes smaller yellowy ones both seem to get eaten by gliders! but do have subtly different flavours and textures.... and according to friend in ghana there are many sorts.... heres hoping they are all the same ratios as otherwise life could be complicated!
trust me youd need more than one mango to make chutney!!! did it earlier this year - 4 mangos worth only made 2 pots! and my house stunk of vinegar for 2 weeks! tasted very nice BUT a lot of hastle! sorry that was random!

It's massive My sister came in and asked me what a fomsa something or other was and I asked her what she was talking about and she said the thing on the side.... Just had to laugh at her and tell her it was a papaya and the fomosa sticker on it was probably the name of the company that picks them!
