Howdy, just thought i would follow standard procedure and make a post saying hello and letting you all know about about me im Ben, im 21 and live in Jersey C.I. I am currently in the market for my first pair of gliders which i am still looking for though will be coming over on the 14th of June to hopfully pick a pair up. I am currently a keeper of reptiles, which consists of 2 columbian rainbow boa's, 2 bearded dragons, 1 guyana red tail boa, 1 suriname red tail boa, 1 black and white arg tegu, 1 red and white arg tegu, 3 leopard geckos, 3 sand eye geckos and 3 crested geckos. I also have 1 chinese praying mantis and a lesser tenrec. any help on the glider front though would be a massive help thanks again Ben

Will you be able to fly them back? How long is the boat trip? That's an awful lot of money when you consider ferries to the continent and half that price (or less!!).

Thats a hell of alot of money, if you are going to fly you need to call the company first and see if you can fly with gliders on you, I dont know if you will be able to or not.
With regards to my two, I do poke and prod my gliders from a really early age so the get silly friendly, the female is the more confident as shes older, I wrestle her on a regular basis to get her off my back when I put her food bowl in, the male is more shy but is still friendly and still likes the human tree/treat dispenser. Same with any new glider with bonding you will need to put work in yourselves to get them bonded to you but I do like to think of myself as a good breeder and make sure all my joeys are human happy and get lots of interaction before they go to their new homes. If you want to talk to a member thats had gliders off me before Rob on here got his two boys from me and they were his first gliders, he may be able to give you an unbiased view.
I hope you can find a cheaper quote for your ferry

im sure i can trust most people here when it comes to glider issues...well atleast untill i know enough and have enough exprience to have my very own opinions lol and the thing with Jersey is that there is only one boat company...condor...but we may be able to get it cheaper through a friend of a friend if you get me...other then that it will be a case of calling British Airways and seeing what they will have to say about it all...even then it will be a case of working out how to get about once i get to the airport...every time i try and get a new animal it becomes a massive deal and big pay out, though i guess it means i do only commit to the animals i really really want...cant really get any thing on a whim, unless i want a rat or hamster lol (no offence meant btw since i like both)
