Hey! I was playing with my glider last night with a feather. He kept on chasing around the cage as I was moving it around through the bars. When he would get a hold of it he would rip it apart. He didn't crab at it all but I'm not sure if he was just playing with it or atacking it because he saw it as a threat. I think he also got some of the feather in his mouth will he be ok?

Mine do that, they tend to love the game but Im pretty sure they are attacking the feather rather than actually playing with it. If he seemed ok after having the feather in his mouth Im sure his fine, thats why feathers are really for supervised playtime only.

That won't affect the bonding will it because I just got him?
oh! I put him in the bonding pouch for the first time yesterday and he didn't yell at me! I think he was trying to lick me through the bag either that or trying to chew threw it.

You've gotta remember that most animal play is aimed at learning to hunt (at least with carnivorous critters) So if you took away all of his play, what would he do? He needs the playtime with you to bond with you...

ok, I feel stupid for asking so many questions. He seemed to really enjoy me playing with him last night. I was moving around in circles and he was jumping from bars to bars. It was cute!

Dont feel daft for asking questions, thats how we all learnt in the beginning Using the bonding pouch is a good idea indoors, sounds like he is coming on great.
