Hi all, as well as my four furballs I also have a dog, a *kind of parrot*, a rabbit, 2 ducks and finally 24  chipmunks and I was wondering if any one can help me on the following....
As well as the chipmunks standard diet I also give the a cuttlefish bone wich is quite good for them (I remember reasearching about cuttlefish bones when I first had my chipmunks).
I would be eternaly gratefull if any-one could let me know if there is to be any benefit if I was to put one for my Suggies.....?   Grin

Also I have had a bit of a move around In my living room and my suggies cage is right by our window and I've noticed that my suggies act very strange whenever there is a full moon. Any Ideas why this is?

Take care for now from Richard.

P.s.. *A kind of parrot *  when I previewed this post I typed what type of bird I had but It came up as "male chicken ateil" and I couldn't change it.... lol Cheesy

I had the same problem when I wrote "c o c k a tiel". The language censors have done a very thorough job!!
I haven't heard of cuttlebone as a supplement for sugs. They don't have teeth that constantly grow but do love to chew. And their calcium:phosphorus ratio can be well balanced w/o the cuttlebone as a supplement.

I don't know whether they would eat the cuttlebone - none of my birds ever would, lol - and I don't know how you would manage that Ca:p ratio using it.

As to the barking and increased activity during the full moon, mine always increase their activity at full moon time - they are sort of frenzied then and bark a lot. The full moon seems to influence the animals' behavior just as it does humans' behavior!

I think my gliders get edgy during a full moon because they are more open to preditors. My guys are in an aviary outside so when it is very light because of the moon they tend to be more alert.

Mine make so much noise that I think they are little werewolves.
