So how do i go about getting a calcium supplement in to their food?

Add it to their diet, also this is a thread with nutritionally balanced recipes in it, so follow a few recipes.  Smiley

So its ok to just add the calcium supplement powder straight to the food?

I normally use Nutrabol, the calc supplement for reptiles, is this ok and would you just add it straight to the fruit prior to blending it?

NO dont use Nutrabol. Its waay to high in calcium.

It is used for reptiles to give them added vitamin D3 that they wpuld get from sunlight. Gliders dont need sunlight, so they synthesis that vitamin through other ways. Nutrabol is way to high for gliders to cope with.

Ok, what supplements are best to use? Or is it safer just to allow them to get the calcium content through the various fruits?

I've always used Glider Cal and Booster to be honest which is why I sell it, tried and tested.  Smiley

Have a read through the stickies in the diet section, and have a look at My Care Guide in the Getting Started section, it has an example at the back.

Thanks for all the advice Marie.

The trouble with Gliders is that opinions on their diet seem to be so varied, we have only been keeping them for less than 2 years so we are still learning as we go along.

The supplements you mentioned - would it be possible for me to purchase some from you via mail order? Products for exotics are very difficult to come by in shops down here.

Could you also email me a list of your current livestock, we keep alot of exotics and may pay your shop a visit in the near future.

Yep, most of my suggie stuff goes out mail order.  Smiley

I'll be doing a livestock list over the weekend so I'll be sure to send you a copy too.  Smiley  Don't think we've got much of interest in at the mo' tho'.  False Water Cobra youngsters, a pair of green cat eyes and a pair of Bredls is about the most exciting!

When blending the fruit my blender always struggles so i add a small cup of water to the mixture to help smooth it out, is this ok?
