Rhianna - have you even read the list I originally posted?  They're all MARSUPIAL books ... especially one entitled 'MARSUPIALS'   Grin

Another book that's not on the list is:
Possums and Gliders ISBN 0 949524 00 0

Someone bought it second hand for me in Australia, second hand. Old (publ. 1984) but has quite a few nice articles on gliders.

I think nearly all my books have some merit. It depends on what aspect you are looking for. Many of the books are full of great information but not a lot of glider specific though. I am seriously into wildlife rehabilitation and release so a lot of the books and cds I have are in that category.

My favourite books are the old ones though including from the 70's and 80's and my favourite from 1947. There are not enough new books out these days that give enough "new" information..they just prefabricate old stuff.

I have Possums and Gliders too and hold onto it tight RonW as it is getting very harder to find these days.
I bought my copy by going to a US site finding one copy available and then realising the secondhand book shop that had it, was an hour's drive from me. I rang them up and drove over and got it! I hugged it all the way home as the only other copies I had seen had been price marked in their hundreds! I still paid a lot of money for it though but it was well worth it.

Possums and Gliders for those who don't know, is a series of published studies put into a book. Be warned though, it is area specific  (ie. the Home range of a honey possum in a tiny area of NSW etc) and mostly about differnt types if possums and studies . It isn't a handbook at all and someone in UK might night find it very useful although RonW does!!

There are several books like that so be warned it's not all pleasant educational reading that will be useful in every day ownership of gliders.

Gliders of Australia by David Lindenmayer is probably another of my favs though again it references a lot of the earlier book's information and there are a couple of errors but generally the book is best source of useful information for those who want to know about the wild gliders.

New magazines are non existent but I have copies dated back to WW2 to the present on Australian wildlife and the photos and information though varying, is valuable just for it's historical value.

Is that book from Pets At Home any good, it dosen't cost much, and it is Gliders only. Cant remember the title but know what the cover looks like, it has a Glider pic on the cover. Just wondered if it was worth buying. BAT FINK:

Who am I going to blame for this? After writing this thread I went out and hunted around and just bought another four books! It's been months since my last splash out and my husband has now cottoned on to it, after I got three package deliveries in one day and he took delivery of them.

Her just asked me if I needed him to construct another bookshelf!!!
