So I have this guy living on the US Virgin Islands that is looking for gliders like crazy.  He emailed me about the first glider I was selling. I told him I didnt want to ship to the VI  and apologized (that glider was sold anyway). Then he emailed me (its annoymus emails on the site i am using) again on another ad of mine for joeys asking if I ship.  I feel really bad because he looks like he really wants gliders and told me he did a ton of research on them but he can't find any by him.

Has anyone every shipped to the Virgin Islands?  I want to know what it would take to get this guy some gliders.

I was thinking it was a scam at first but I dont think it really is.

Anyone with experience with that?

There aren't many people on here in the US (it's a UK based forum, but there are a few), so I doubt you'll get the answer you are looking for here...  Although, I wouldn't ship under any circumstances, anyways...  But it's a personal opinion and to each his own Smiley

The main thing is don't do ANYTHING you're not 100% comfortable with!  Shipping animals is probably too much of a hassle for the average person - I know I wouldn't be doing it!

Personally, I'd keep the joeys to build up your colony and then get all males neutered so that you don't have to worry about finding a buyer for any future babies. Smiley

I totally forgot this was a UK forum. Heh

Yea I shipped 6 gliders before and it costs almost 200.00 for anything 9 lbs or less when i shipped them from one side of the country to the there. I was living in one state then moved and they treat the animals pretty good. They have a special part of the plane that is pressurized and temperature controlled.  Theres even a special name for it and I heard that the flight attendants go and check on the animals from time to time but i'm not sure if its true.
It's not as bad as it used to be, they have made it much much better.
