ive read that females, are a bit more shy, and not as willing to explore as males are. do females that are not spayed go through heat? if so is there an odor? and whats the worst about heat? do they act differently and how long does it last? lol i know its alot of questions sorry.

Females aren't spayed, the op would be far too fiddly and invasive for such a small animal.

All suggies 'smell', they poop and wee and they do scent mark using urine regardless of whether they're male or female.  BUT neutered males don't have the active scent glands on their sternum or on the top of their head which is what they do most of their marking with. 

Many people prefer neutered males as they seem to make better pets, as you've already mentioned they are more curious, they are less territorial and less aggressive.
