The joey is about 2 months out of pouch, how long do you think I should leave her in with mummy and daddy? I dont want to risk any inbreeding. I am going to buld her another cage and get her a couple of new friends.

is that when they become independant or is it a bit before that?
does dad help rear the young once they come out?

I have found that Dad does pretty much everything, except feed the babies, actually.  The joeys can be removed from their parents at around 10-12 weeks oop, but are pretty independant much sooner than that...  They just need to extra time to learn how to be a glider and gain confidence.

They can glide just fine from a young age... But whether they do or not is another story.  I would imagine they can glider from the "mini adult" stage onwards, but that doesn't mean they are ready to brave the big wide world on their own.
