Hi guys, we're buying our last bits and bobs before we pick our gliders up on the weekend (all being well, we've got a nice 8 our drive ahead of us, 4 hour each way! they'll be worth it tho! Smiley)

my questions is.....we were going to buy little silver bowls that clip onto the cage.....we're buying a pair of gliders, so do we need two of these or will they eat out of the same bowl?

any advise gratfully apreciated!

Deff 2, I have the ceramic ones and put into a glider kitchen to stop the food splats.  When I had the bowls on the side of their cage food got spat everywhere.

Glider kitchens made out of tupperware box's to stop splats

That's fine for the established colony suggie_mama, but don't risk it with Holly in there too.  She could get trapped if they decided to be nasty.

i have 2 kitchens in with my 3 also...although they normally just all sit and eat out of the same bowl all at once.

I use quite a few bowls for my colony of um.......5 (oh my god do I really have that many in one colony) even though they are a family unit they still squabble over the food bowls.

My other two cages have one food bowl per cage but i do have spares so I can stick another in if one ever becomes food aggressive

I have two bowls, we did have two gliders but they now have twin joeys, they seem ok but it does look funny when I put a third bowl in with their glider ade/nutra glider in and they all stick their heads in!

I would def try to get as many bowls as possible if you are introducing them as usually if they start to argue it will be about food (usually yoghurt drops with my lot! :mine:)

yeah, i now have 2 bowls, but, previously have had as many as 5 in there.

I use the ceremic cat food bowls, 2 reasons for this, 1 they are nice and big so can have several gliders fit in for a dining session and the other they are nice and heavy.  Gliders like to sit on the edge of the bowl so lots of lightweight bowls would just fall over.

I used to have the clip on metal bowls you speak of and i found these good.

I really want the feeding bowls you use Marie, think they're good.
