The thing coming out of his bottom is most likely his penis... Gliders have a hemipine, so it looks like two little worms.
Make sure to keep him warm! Try syringing him some argave nectar mixed with boiled (and cooled, but not cold... still warm) water.

I have him right here...can you tell me what you think this is? why it has happened and if you think it's something he can recover from?

and call an emergency 24/7 vet, alot of vets will come out if you cant get in, it costs a little more (for us an extra £30) but its worth it, there may be a vet near you which has an emergency 24 hour vet I would recommend calling them.
We are not vets here so we can only give you the basic advice such as Jen above, but gliders hide illness until they are really poorly and just cant anymore, and they can dramatically go down hill, hopefully it is nothing serious and heat and a mini sugar boost (as above) but personally if you are not sure what it is then call a vet hun
the thing you say thats coming out of his bottom what does it look like, is it like what jen has said above or is it quite large/sofr tissue/pink and or red? if so I will get back to you

having fits is NEVER a good sign. I would ring an emergency vet.

Try this http://www.any-uk-vet.co.uk/county/essex.htmit lists all the vets in the area, if you get an answer machine message, listen to it. Sometimes the emergency vet info is included on the message.

Fits are bad... Vets ASAP! Sometimes gliders can show these symptoms when the weather gets colder if the diet is a bit off, as well, I think... Lou? Marie? Is that right??

As the others have said vets ASAP. They can fit from dehydration or low blood sugar. Do you keep the room warm enough? What are you feeding him? Is he eating? Does he feel cold? Keep him next to your skin, or if you have a microwave pad put that in the microwave, make sure it's not too hot and wrap him in it, it's really important to warm back and belly. Syringe feed him gliderade if you have it, if not make an isotonic drink, weak squash and a tiny, tiny pinch of salt and syringe that in to him. The salt replaces the lost electrolytes. It may take an hour to bring him round - but you mustn't give up. There are more details in the cold, limp glider thread. Now as to the flesh poetruding from his bum - is it like two worms? Or is it more of a bulge/sack?

Sorry guys...i rushed him to the vet and just made it before they closed. Right let me anserw the questions first...the boys have mango, papaya, blueberries, pear, apple, bannana, kiwi, yoghurt, sweet potato to name a few. They get nothing they shouldn't have. The room is always kept warm. The vet said he has an infection which has caused him to become dehydrated which in turn brought on the seizures. He was given an injection direct into the bone in hs leg and a shot of antibiotics. He was perscribed anti biotics and critical care which i must give him every hour.I now have him in a heated vivarium to keep him warm. The vet also said he was a little constipated and took care of the prolapse. She also weighed him and his weight was sound and she said he was a good size for his age. She also said it's a case of waiting to see if he will pull through... Will keep you updated.

The vet said that the prolapse was brought on by the seizures and should workitselfoutonce they stop. She showed me what to do if he proplapses again.I will be up with him all night keeping a very sharp eye on him.I couldn't possibly sleep now.
