Hi,could you please help me i dont know how to send a message for help and advice so i have sent it to you in the hope you will be able to advise me.
Hi,im new to this couldnt work out how to get on it but heres hoping that i am.Ive just got myself 2 sugar gliders i love them had them a week now. They are not to bad for crabbing when i stroke the pouch with them in during the day but once they are out one of them in particular likes to bite me i try not to pull away, on the first bite i flinch but once i know its coming i stay there. They both are nosey and come to the bars when i talk to them and i feed them their cat biscuit through the bars and they take them no problem. How long will the biting continue?I would also like some advice on feeding ive never had sugar gliders before although i have has alot of pets in the past.I have been feeding mainly fruit which i blend together and freeze but i havent got many receipies and not much good at working out the food mixtures. The person i got them from was i think a member on Sugar Lumps and gave me a couple but i would like to vary it as much as i can so they dont always get the same tastes.I also need some advice on the vitamins etc that they need and where i can buy them from also toys so they dont get bored.I would be so grateful if anyone could offer me any help on all these things.Thankyou.Lesley

I moved this here to it's correct spot to hopefully get more responses Smiley

Bonding can take a long time, but the more time you put in the better off they will be Grin What is the bite like?  Is it a proper going for blood bite or testing if you are tasty bite?  Or maybe even grooming (kinda like scraping their teeth against your skin)?

Have a good look through the diet section...  All the info you need is there (including a sticky with quite a few meals worked out for you).  Any suppliments can be bought from Marie Smiley If you come up with any questions after that, feel free to ask Grin

Thankyou i have seen the worked out menus but it still confuses with the number system each food has not able to break it down yet.I have been making up 6oz of papaya and 4oz pear apple carrot butternut squash mango and fig on one of the menus others have only 4oz of of all ingredients but i havent really got any veg menus and i would like to vary what i feed as much as i can.I also add 6 cat biscuits each as was told by the seller every evening. The supplements that i give every night are Glider Booster & Glider Cal i also alternate with Acacia Gum and Bee Pollen not sure what seller ment by x2 on the Acacia Gum though.Am i feeding the right diet and supplements as i want to get it right for the health of my babies but being new to it all i need help.As for the biting i think it means business biting the bars to get to me they are hard bites and have drawn blood i think that it is aggression but not sure they both come to the bars to me and take the cat food from me as i thought rather than put it in there food i would feed it to them to help with the bonding but if i lay my hand on the bars it tries to bite me straightaway grabbing my sleeve and pulling on it although the bites are hard they are standable although my reflex at the first bite is to draw away once ive had the first bite i know its coming and stay there to let them get my scent trying to keep hand tight to try to prevent them from getting any loose skin to bite on.I would also like to get them some toys as they havent got much and dont stay out very long so was wondering if they were bored.Im sorry if ive gone on and bored you but any help and advice that you could give me would be gratefully received.Thankyou.Lesley :
