Hi Everyone,

Still not got Dave and Gary yet Sad cant wait now.

The question I need to know is:

Are there any risks from a Sugar Glider to a pregnant human? We are trying for a baby so just wanted to knw if there are any health risks involved.

I've never heard of any, no...  Just use general hygene rules and you should be fine, I think.  *waits for somebody else who knows for sure*

Not that i know of.  I know there are risks with kitty litter and pregnancy, however, this is only with cat waste and not small animal waste so i will assume all will be fine

I know about the cat litter and stuff.

My husband does not believe me though he thinks it is just an excuse not to clear out the litter tray  Grin

the only risk i can think of is that you may not pay as much attention to the baby as they are no where near as cute as gliders.

me either. when i have mine, i keeping them for the "kidney bean" phase, them they living with the grandparent until they out of the "toddler" stage! lol

i would happily listen to all 6 of my suggies bark all night then listen to a baby scream coz it cant get its own way. my soon to be sister in laws kid has taught me that! lol

um agree with the others, theres the same risk as most animals so just wash your hands after play times and when cleaning out use rubber gloves,

there is a risk with sheep in lambing season so stay aay from sheep and also seals believe it or not for the same thing, cat litter yep and thats all i can think of
