I wil stick with a houseful of animals when I have a kid as well, wont get anymore reptiles (high maintenance) but mammals no problems

No kids for me either ..... never ever ever!  It's not that I'm selfish I just don't want the hassle emotionally or financially, and I think I actually have a phobia of them rather than just disliking them!
