i think i read a post about this a while ago, but now i cant find the post now.

Basically our female glider who lost her joey has something sticking out of her pouch, its not sore looking but surely should be inside the pouch. I dont think the other mum has the same problem but its hard to tell since she genrally has her 2 joeys on her, which cover the pouch. Just as a note, both the joeys are growing well and it would appear that the other mum is helping out with motherly duties(although not seen her feed them), just thought it might be worth a mention. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Like i said though it doesnt appear to be bothering her, she is still eating and playing.

Thanks alot, Shrew

It's probably her nipple...  It'll be elongated since it SHOULD still be feeding a joey.  Takes a while for it to go back to normal.  Your girlie was probably cleaning her pouch and left it out Wink

Yep - as Jen says.  It is common for the nipple to be exposed like that.  Don't worry unless it's red and inflammed.
