the liquid is called the aqueous humour, it takes away waste products from metabolism.
there is also a thick, jelly like substance called the vitreous humour. this is where retina cells die off and float around in.
there are other components to the eye but i want to watch xfiles, but i thought these two parts where the most useful to wat we are talking about

if you are squeamish do NOT read the rest of my post!......
there was a news article a week or two ago actually about a man in his twenties on death row in a prison in texas. and hes been removed and put in a psychiatric ward because he pulled his own eye out and ate it. Google it. EWWWWW. it makes me actually gag.

right, went into college and debated my case. i said i dont agree with the eye being the most nutritious part of an animals body, and i said i think the liver is, and the biology teacher said my farming teacher hasnt a clue in shite! lol
the eye does have some nutrition, but it is NOT the most nutritious part, but most animals tend to eat the eye first as it is the easiest.
