Elvis is being really aggresive tonight. I know that everyones replys are probably going to be the same as always but I just wanted to bring it up.

Their is this one toy in the cage that elvis loves. The girls were standing on it earlier and elvis chased them away from it and him a Sweet P were rolling around in the hammock for awhile fighting. I removed the toy but I feel bad because it is his favorite.

After that elvis started to be more aggresive than usual around the food bowles and his running wheel.

I cleaned the carpets today in that room. Could he be being aggressive because the room smells different? Could he just be tired? Is their anything I can do about him being toy protective? the girls share but he doesn't.

Sweet P keeps on antogonizing elvis and bugging him more and more and then he gets pissed at her. If he was really hurting her would she keep on going back to see him? Elvis is more aggressive with sweet P than pixy. Would it be ok to introduce a new glider? I'm getting my new baby next weekend.

to be honest, i wouldnt be putting another glider in when he is displaying that sort of aggressive behaviour. He sounds like he is very territorial.

you shud NEVER let 2 gliders roll arund fighting! they shud have been seperated immediately!

was the toy that elvis is being territorial over, was it originally his before you got the girls, or did you buy it new when you got them?

I think when you get the new one you should consider removing sweet P from Pixy and Elvis and housing her with the newbie.  I wouldn't normally recommend splitting a 'pair' but Elvis shouldn't be alone and I feel Sweet P would be safer away from him.

I didn't let them roll around fighting. By the time I got the door open they had stopped. I would never leave them like that.

This is the first time elvis has done this. He was fine with them this morning. He's never drawn blood. I don't think he's ever really bit them. I think when they were rolling, they were just rolling. I notice the girls yell when he doesn't do anything to hurt them.

The toy was a brand new toy.

Would doing a whole cage rearangement help?

I think the problem is, Elvis has been alone for a long time and he's used to everything his own way, a bit like my dog really!   Roll Eyes

Ok, so if the aggression isn't 'that' bad then and there's never been any blood drawn try and not to panic too much. It sounds to me like Sweet P is being bullied a bit.  Is he still being a bit protective over food?  Does Sweet P manage to eat in peace when they're all in the cage together or do you have to take them out to make sure Sweet P gets her fill?  Does Elvis ever nip at tails?

You could try cleaning the toys and rearranging the cage, I think it's down to his lack of social skills though.

He's still protective over food. He's does this weird hiss with sort of a throaty squeek mixed into it when they come too close to him when he's eating or playing. I see sweet p eat but she is probably the smallest of the group. It's weird because elvis loves his gliderade but he's not protective over that. They all three drink it together. He's only protective over treats and toys. Elvis grabs their tails all the time and they grab his back. I've never seen him actually nip them but he does try sometimes. They always screech at him when he does it. Sweet P kinda taunts elvis though. She's always jumping on him and bugging him. They all three sleep in the same pouch at night though so I don't think he's pissing them off that much. I've never seen sweet P do that submisive thing where they put their head under his chin. Pixy does it but sweet P is not submisive to him at all. I wonder if he's just pissed at her about that. They always still go to him. You would think if they were actually being hurt they would stay away from him right?
