Native children in small villages in New Guinea keep sugar gliders as pets free in their bedrooms. As per Quest for the Tree Kangaroo, a children's book documenting a search for tree kangaroos in New Guinea. One of the guides talked about his pet glider.

feather tails are cool!!!
I learned this today:
only hibernating marsupial is the mountain pygmy possum
smallest gliding mammal is the honey possum
only marsupial to live solely on nectar and pollen is the honey possum
in relation to body size the honey possum has the largest testicles and sperm among mammals (dont know why this is important to know Wink)
honey possum life span averages 1 year  Shocked :mad
I want one! but I want it to live MUCH longer!!!!
