Our gliders have made peep holes in all 4 of their pouches! :-S I'm not sure why they do it but they like sticking their noses out of them! Do you see this as a problem as per your post above?

I made a bag with snooker table lining and normal fabric on the outside. Stuffed it with toy stuffing to make it cosey, and threaded cord through the one half and tied it to the bars of the cage with a double bow, and they sleep with the bow inside the bag, it's like they are making sure I wont take it away from them. But because it is tough fabric they haven't yet managed to make holes in it. & they never chew it. I do check regular though. If you would like to make one you can buy off cuts of both fabrics from market stalls very cheap. BAT FINK:

With the danger of threads, watch out with human hair as well. One of my gliders had been playing with my hair and actually swallowed part of it and was choking. Thank God I was able to get it out of her and she is ok. Another glider actually had some hair wrapped around a foot, I was able to get that off as well, but I guess it can be a problem if it wasnt found right away.
It may sound funny but I always brush my hair before I play to help remove loose strands and I always check the pouches, cage, and THEM for loose hair strands as well as I shed alot.

which is a very good idea. My first gliders (Chips & Salsa) Chips loved to nap in my hair... one day he got a strand tied around his "stuff" and wound up castrating himself and died several weeks later due  to complications.
