Gliders' bones will remold if broken if any part of the break can meet the other part. They may not remold perfectly but should be functional. Pain control and restriction of movement are important.

Sorry, only just gotten on to read this one.

Yeah, my little lady had both back legs broken, one of which was very bad indeed, but as she seemed to be eating and drinking i thought i would see how she got on, i gave her painkillers for about 6 days and kept her in a small flexarium with her mate (she was also carrying a joey at the time)  within 4-5 days she was attempting to climb, within a few weeks she was putting more and more weight on her legs, within a month it was like nothing had happened.  I gave her extra vits and zolcal everyday until after joey stopped nursing as well as lots of treats and love.

in the wild, if something happened, which im guessing by the sheer clumsy ness of gliders happens alot, they would need to heal quite quickly in order to not become snake food. They incredibly versatile animals are gliders.

Nancys home and fine vet said the best thing to do is keep her in the hamster cage for 2-4 weeks for the break to heal and let her back into the big cage in 6 weeks...So its loads of fusses and traets for my little suggie

Glad to hear Nancy is on the mend!  That's excellent news.  Did the vet make any comment about her bone density?

No, not at all if they're on a good diet, I was just wondering is all, and TBH, I think if Nancy did have thin/weak bones the vet WOULD have said something about it Smiley.
