I am building a cage and am using pine wood. What is safe too seal the wood with? shellac sounds good but there is a varnish or a paint and i'm not sure which too use please help me please

I used japlac on mine (The stuff that is safe to use on childrens toys) Smiley

have you checked to make sure that pine is a safe wood for gliders? Dont quote me on this, i might be getting mixed up with another wood, but i believe pine has toxic oils in the wood that can kill a wide range of bark chewers, like rodents.

But i may be getting pine and another wood mixed up, so best wait until Jen or Marie come to verify or crucify that reply! lol
