Sugar Lumps - Site Rules & Netiquette
1.
Only one account per person - Please only register one account per person - this means nobody is allowed multiple accounts, and also that family members etc have to register their own accounts rather than using the same one. If you have registered before and do not remember your login name or password, please email a member of staff.
2.
No flaming, spamming or trolling -
Flaming: Flaming is the posting of messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting, usually in the social context of a discussion board.
Spamming: Spamming is the use of any electronic communications medium to send unsolicited messages in bulk, indiscriminately -- unlike sending to a selected group in normal marketing. In the popular eye, the most common form of spam is that delivered in e-mail as a form of commercial advertising. Spamming can also take place in forums.
Trolling: Deliberately posting false information in order to elicit responses from people who really want to help.
Abuse of this forum will result in;
a) Receiving a warning
b) receiving a temporary ban or, finally,
c) A permanent ban.
This includes things such as calling another member names and using personal insults etc. Trolling is also not allowed, and so please refrain from spamming the forum. Spam posts will be removed, and the poster will receive a warning. If the offender continues to spam, a ban will be put into effect.
Also please note that use of excessive CAPS or
bold lettering makes your message very hard to read and implies you are shouting, so please refrain from doing so.

Bad language - A censor system is in place in the forum to 'change' any swearwords within a post. This means that bad language is not such an issue as it might have been. However, attempts to outwit the censor programme (by placing spacing between the letters in a swear word etc) will be considered an abuse of the forum, and the same steps will be taken as are used in Rule 2.

Post/Picture content - Sugar Lumps is a site for all ages, so please bare that in mind when posting. Posts containing references to illegal substances, flaming, sexually explicit content, cursing, spamming, and abusive or negative personal comments will not be tolerated, and will be immediately deleted. Further disciplinary action may also be taken.
5.
Misunderstandings - If there is a personal misunderstanding between members of the board, we ask that you please take the discussion to e-mail or private message. In accordance with Rule 2, please refrain from making abusive or insulting comments in the board's public domain. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action, listed in Rule 2.
6.
Post topics - Please keep the posts closely related to the appropriate topic. If the topic starts to focus on another subject, please open a new thread.
7.
Pictures - No pictures to be posted bigger than 400x400 pixels - Anyone who posts pictures larger than this will be asked to resize them immediately. Any pictures posted must also comply with Rule 4, or will be deleted. Further disciplinary action may also be taken.
8.
Linking to other sites - No linking to Youtube, Myspace or any other site which may contain non-PG material except in the 'Over 18's Section', where this is permitted.
To gain access to the 'Over 18s Section', please send a message to one of the forum staff, who will then, having made sure you are of the appropriate age, change your settings to allow you to view this part of the forum. To advertise your own website, please start a thread in the '
Members Websites' section of the forum.
9.
Private message content - Do not post contents from a personal email or correspondence on the board without permission from the author.
10.
E-mail addresses - All members must keep a current, working email address available to the Sugar Lumps staff.

Signatures - Please keep your signature relatively short. The general rule is 300 characters or less. Only board icons and special approved icons are allowed in your signature. If you wish to place a banner or an image in your signature, the size limit is 500 long x 60 high. Anyone whose signature picture is larger than this will be asked to resize them immediately.

Site trouble - Please address questions, concerns or suggestions to any moderator or board administrator, or post them in the 'Board Feedback & Suggestions' section of the forum.
13.
Posting adverts/wanted ads - Ads can be posted in the Suggiedex forum section only and must be glider related. Ads can be posted by the seller or buyer only; we do not allow third party posts. Xbay links (those to any outside auction sites, e.g. Ebay) are to be posted in the 'Other Site Auctions/Sales' forum. Shop and business information may be posted in Glider Gossip - but is limited to major changes such as opening a new store, carrying a whole new line of products such as cages, diet supplements, or other major changes. Post that won't be allowed are minor changes such as new materials, new styles, new sets, product updates, etc. Failure to comply will result in immediate post deletion, and perhaps further disciplinary action.

14.
Fund raising - Whilst Sugar Lumps encourages the promotion of charity work, any member wanting to hold a fund raiser (including but not limited to auctions, raffles, and sales of services or goods intended for non-profit use) must seek approval FIRST from the board Administration.
Any future updates to the site rules will be announced.
