do I put bedding in the glider bed pouch???

Hiya Ive just recently recieved the sugar glider start kit 2 and im wondering whether or not to put some hamster bedding into the sleeping pouches or dont they need it? Please help as im going to put the sleeping pouches into the viv as soon as I get a reply!!! :shock: :shock:

That's right. No bedding. And wash the pouch every few days.

I use fleece pieces for bedding and have 2 pouches in the cage, one with, and one without the pieces. That way they can choose which they want depending on the warmth they want/need. I like them to have the option so they are never too cold, plus if one was to get ill during the night the warmth provided by the bedding could help them survive the night.

If you wanted, you could put shredded paper on the floor of the cage and they will take it up to the nest IF they want it.  It's fun to watch too .

what do you use for the place they can make a nest if they wish? ive thought about it, somehow making a platform high up for them

They will make a nest in their pouch, or if you wanted you could get a bird type nest box. I have a few sleeping places for mine, they always choose their pouches though

Even though I give my pair an option with the 2 pouches (with and without bedding) they still like to strip the trailing artificial plants I have in there for them
