I wouldnt be forcing them awake just to give them yoghurt. Im assuming by day  you mean late in the day for us which is their early morning.

Even if theyre sleeping I used to just have the pouch sat me, open facing me so if they moved around they could see me. Think they take in your scent that way too.

Everyones gliders are different and varying amounts of time. I was quite fortunate

I only give mine treats during the day if I'm carrying them in their pouch, and notice they are wriggling alot/awake.

You can give them other things as (bonding) treats, mine never refuse a bit of broccoli or banana!! Just steer well clear of grapes or raisins Smiley

What do you mean by train them? Huh

Edit - Oh and tents are a great bonding tool, if you aren't 100% sure about letting them out into a room just yet Smiley

Kids play tents are good as they are small enough to fit in a fairly small room and big enough for you to sit down in. Cat 'wands' are good (the ones that you hold a small plastic pole and it has a ribbon with a feather on the end) the suggies like to chase it around. I also find it useful if I lose one in the room and need to get them out from under the furniture.  A pouch with a zip on it that you can wear during the day is a great way of them getting used to your smell and the sound of your voice.

Yep, so long as you have the room of course Smiley
I got myself a little cheap one man tent, but as said above a kids play tent would also be fine (so long as it doesn't have open windows or a opening without a door, which was the problem I had, while looking for a small tent Sad)

If you do get any cat toys, just make 100% sure there is no cat nip in them Wink

That sounds fine. It should be as people go camping in them, just make sure to fully zip up the door, so there is no room for any gliders squeezing out Smiley

The next question is how do you get them back in thier cage once they have had a play in the tent?

This is where it can get tricky lol. They may go back into their pouch voluntarily, after they've had enough. If not though, you can always tempt them back into the pouch with a tasty treat.

I found hanging the pouch up in the tent helped alot, as they made their own way back in Smiley

I want Maries opinion on using a tent to bond with my gliders (if possible) as she is in the UK and has had a lot of experience with sugar gliders.

MOD NOTE:  I have removed your phone number, since this is a public forum.

Pretty much everyone on this forum is from the UK Smiley

I'd take down your mobile number from this page though, and PM Marie instead.

You click on their name and it'll bring you to their profile...  The "send a private message".  Most of the users on this forum are in the UK.  Using a tent for bonding is a brilliant way to earn their trust.  Carry them in a bonding pouch during the day and then tent play time with treats and fun toys at night.

what do you class as fun toys for gliders. I got some things from the previous owner of mine. Dont seem bothered with them.
When I have the gliders in living room neo is more interested in hiding behind the sofa n running along the back. lara will run around the living room floor and climb up things
