Good evening! What a fab site you have! I have been looking into being owned by a pair of sugar gliders, and have found the forum really informative. Seen a few gliders on sites such as preloved, but would be quite reluctant to buy off a breeder I know nothing about. I grew up with animals, the obligatory rabbits and guinea pigs your parents buy to teach you responsibility after hearing "muuuuuuum, can I have a rabbit..." like a broken record, luckily I was quite a responsible child, and my parents quite likely to have the rabbit move into my bedroom, and me into its cage if I was shirking my responsibilities  We also had dogs, a very temperamental russian dwarf, and when I left home to live with my partner, we had cats, and a variety of parrots. When we separated, he kept the birds because he had the space, and unfortunatley, I didnt. But all was not so bad, I still had my cat, my budgie Fatty (but everyone else calls him Hitler) Joshua the tiel and jaeger and meister the kakarikis! Sugar gliders caught my eye about two years ago, but with one thing or another, I've never actually progressed further than perusing the free ads and reading up on sites, until now! |

Thank you for all the kind welcomes!We welcomed another member of the family into the house yesterday, Sniper (not named by me, but quite appropriate after he chomped down on my finger yesterday) the syrian hamster came to us after my friends sister couldnt keep him anymore due to her asthma. Since the chompy finger incident, he has been very well behaved and spent most of yesterday evening running up and down my dressing gown sleeves |
