I noticed alot of noise coming from the cage last night so i turned my light on to check up on my gliders. Turns out Jasmine had knocked the food bowl from the top ledge to the floor, but she was acting very strange. She was sort of jumping side to side, then forward and backwards, then she'd move around to the other side of the food bowl, sniff some of the spilled food, then carry on the same jumping thing. Is this normal? Meanwhile Imogen was just completly oblivious and still hasnt left her wheel alone yet

Yep, like Marie said, sounds like she scared herself. One of mine is addicted to her wheel, she only seems to come out of it for food

Imogen is bonding quite nicely with me, but Jasmine seems to be quite timid. How can i get them to wake up earlier? They seem to get up about 1-2am and i cant spend the time with them that i would like to

What time do you feed them? Do they get a day/night cycle? Can you darken the room to encourage them out? You could also train them so they come out to the sound of the treat bag!!!

The foods in the cage usually from about 8pm, and they usually come out, grab a yoghurt drop then run back in their pouch for a nap =/ I put my blind down, but its a bit difficult for me to do revision in the dark so theres gotta be a little light on atleast =p

It sounds like they're still a little bit shy of you. They will settle down soon and overcome their coyness, just allow them to come to you in their own time. Patience is the key, the bond will be stronger if you allow them to progress at their pace.

Haha my Lara goes absolutely mental at anything that sounds remotely like the Treat Packet. I still find it hilarious. I can press it slightly to make a cracke and her head moves from side to side trying to decipher if her initial thoughts were correct on the noise
I agree its truely worth it when they will run around and do their own thing and then come venturing back to you just to climb and then theyre off again on another adventure

Kiba is a very light sensitive glider, and usually won't come out unless it's dark. A red bulb solved that problem, as it's sort of invisible to them. So you might want to invest in one, you should be able to see what you're doing aswell

I just put in it when I let them out, as obviously you don't want a red bulb all the time lol They will get themselves into a better routine, once they have fully settled in. Though sometimes mine will get into a crazy routine, and sleep through their playtime
