I was wondering, I have seen a pair of suggies that are both around 12 months old and are supposidly well bonded.
My question is, would I be better of getting some very young ones or can the older ones develop a good bond with you aswell??

12 months old isint old! lol i took some in when they were 3-4 years old and now they are the most bonded suggies ive ever had!

dont worry about age. Better too old then too young. Smiley

Older suggies will bond with you, does the seller mean well bonded with him/her or well bonded with each other?  Anyway, whichever, you need to remember that because they are bonded with him/her that doesn't necessarily mean they will be instantly bonded with you.  Hopefully they will be confident suggies who recognise humans as friends/treat dispensers so will be sociable and easy to gain their trust.  Smiley

I think "bonding" is seriously overrated. Over time, as they become comfortable with you, you will be accepted into their colony. Do all of the things that will make this happen. If you are patient and work slowly and consistently with them, they will grow to enjoy the company of their newest colony member - you.

These are exotic animals kept in captivity, not puppies or kittens. Sometimes they become very attached to their owners and sometimes they just accept you and your handling even if they are babies when you get them. Luckily, in the UK, the gliders are nice, normal standard gliders so there are no color morph personality issues.

12 months is a great age.
