I got my 2 gliders,
Furbeh and Gizzmo. Smiley

They are lovely!

One curious question,
xD
which is the one with the bump,
and the other who looks like it has a black dot on its tummy.

Yes, i know it sounds stupid, but i would like some confirmation.
Smiley
As theyre a little bit too skitish to be held yet.
The one i think is male, is very loving already, making happy chirps and rubbing his face against my finger,
lifting his chin to be rubbed

The one i reckon is female, is very, very shy. If i enter the room, she skuttles back in,
she always has her tail curled up tightly into herself, and seems a little thin.

Otherwise, she's eating and seems happy in her new home.

Im reckoning its the stress of moving, and being seperated from the others they were sharing with.

She also had a joey 18 weeks ago,and i think its the first time she's left him.

anyway, she seems a little depressed.

Do i need to give her space and time to relax,

or go ahead with trying to bond?

Also, my cage is 1.5 meters high, by 1 meter wide, with dangly ladders, wood chew, wodent wheel, dangly tube thing and some little noisy clackers that they are using to hang from! Also a little log cabin, theyv chosen to sleep in, instead of the sleeping pouch, so iv filled it with fleecey material, to make them snug Smiley

They had some premade food from the previous owner and some iams cat biscuits, which went as soon as it was put down!

Im so happy, iv been wee'd on already, tbh it doesnt even smell that bad,
( its the one i think is male) So i do not see why people complain about how smelly they are!

pfft!

Smiley
IM SO HAPPY!

I'm glad they are settling in well Smiley they will take a little while to settle in so just keep offering them treats through the cage Smiley. The male should have a small bald spot on his forehead and kind of just under his neck on his chest, he will also have an obvious 'pom pom' down below. The female will have nothing other than her pouch which you may or may not see. If u offer them treats through the cage it may get them across sp you can check on their underneath.

the one with the bump is the male and the one with the black dot on the tummy is the female. Smiley

lol!

its the female whose brashy then Smiley

she keeps going over to the male and hiding him under the teatowels in thier nest if i come near!

Theyre both taking treats from me, the females the loving one already.

They hissed at the previous owner, but yet to crab at me Cheesy

It'l happen one day, probaly.

They sniffed my hamster who i had out, Gizzmo hissed at her, and Furbeh tried to lick her forehead through the bars.

Cheesy

Alls going well, they had a little bit of strawberry natural yoghurt as a treat last night.

Thats what made one of them chirrp Smiley

Yeah...  Don't let them meet your hamster.  They would kill and eat her.  The lick was a taste test Wink

I did say in the other thread that hammy could end up as a meal. Not worth risking, if suggie was to grab hold of hammy through the bars you'll have a job getting suggie to let go. They have unbelivable grip.

Pablo was a foot away,
she kept trying to go over, xD
I took the stand off of the cage because it keeps wobbling when they jump Smiley

Dont worry.

Alls fine in Bethie's household.

Cheesy

Suggies are having mango and sweetpotatoe with a few cat biscuits tonight.
With a strawberry each.

they love strawberrys. Don't seem to like cherries though.

Danny, it's best to do lots of research before taking the plunge.  We see it all the time, they jump in with both feet and without researching enough, then find out 6 months down the line they're not the pet they wanted and sell them on.  Take your time to find the right two or three.  These little guys can live up to 15 years and are very demanding.   Smiley

I got mine from LesleyAnne53 or something.

Theyre pretty relaxed for not knowing me.

Only issue i had, was after moving,
the female bullied him and removed the hair from the tip of his tail.

But its grown back now, and theyre very happy.
They LOVE little pieces of cooked chicken.
They hate carrots and honey.
They just throw it out of thier cage. xD
