Can you help me please? My "lone" male is coming September 3rd, in the meantime I've been offered 2 x young males that were surrendered to the RSPCA.

Should I get them asap and get them settled in here before the male arrives, or the other way round? Also what is the best way to introduce them as I don't think I'll be able to simple put them all together in the same cage right away?

Thank you

If you get the males you will need to get them all neutered before you even try and introduce them.  Males do not tend to live together well (unless they've lived together all their lives).  If I were you I'd ring around vets in your area to find out how much neutering will cost before you decide.

Thanks for that, looks like the search is BACK on for a female, I could probably stretch to having 1 male neutered but not all 3  Roll Eyes

I wonder if the RSPCA will neuter them?  They usually get male animals neutered before they go to a new home don't they?  Or is that just dogs and cats?  Maybe worth asking them.

no it's just dogs and cats now, they used to have them all done but now they don't do small furries as it was costing them too much or that's what they told me anyway!

There's a brilliant exotic vet near me who'd neuter my lone male and I'll then try to find him a nice girlie friend.
