How old is your joey?

Barking is a perfectly normal noise for gliders to make, it's nothing to worry about Smiley

I don't think anyone really knows exactly why they do it, but it is perfectly normal behaviour in a glider.

You really are going to have to get used to noise at night, or gliders are not the pet for you.  Being woken up by my gliders barking is a very normal experience for me (and one I quite like, strangely enough... since I don't like being woken up by anybody else).  It is thought to mean a few different things.....  "DANGER!"  "What's that?!?"  "Where are you?" etc etc etc.  Being a lone glider will be very stressful for him, so he's probably using his barking for all three of those.

It's also a full moon in 3 days, prepare for the barking to get worse!

you really need to get him neutered soon if you are looking into another glider, no respectable breeder will sell you another male unless yours is neutered and you really need some hands on experience before breeding....................trust be I have been there, I could not of been the responsible breeder I am now without knowing how to look after gliders first.

Lol yeah it will be a constant thing being woken up at night,

for some unknown reason one of my females spent 6 hours solid last night just barking, nothing i did could keep her happy, i got her out for a cuddle, changed all the food and water, put a couple of new toys in there for her to explore but after 10 mins or so she just started barking again shut the door to the room she's in and my bedroom door and i could still hear her so clearly haha

running on about 30 mins sleep at the momeny haha sooooooooo tired

It's easily explained ... it's full moon tonight!  And the biggest one for 10 years apparently.  It has been noticed all over the world that suggie behaviour changes on or around the full moon Smiley
