hey new to gliders and the forum i have a 4x2x2 cage mainly mesh wire or whatever you want to call it the 4 foot is obviously the height
i know i have to have at least a pair and i realise that bonding takes along time
i am planning to have several branches and hammocks in the cage and various toys
the thing that i dont fully understand is the diet i know i need to have a large variety in their diet and need some sugarade (i think its called) supplement
can anyone give me a breif idea on the diet and anything i want to look out for and do
i have done alot of research already but would like some more hands on experience guidance
i live in cambridgeshire so is there also any one near me breeder or expeienced keeper

hey Steza,

We're also new to sugar gliders (see previous thread) so we won't be much help compared with everyone else here (sorry about that!), but are also in Cambridgeshire so if any local suggie owners are about on here then there aretwo lots of potential owners after some hands-on advice/experience.

Nice to (virtually) meet you!

As I say in prev thread, we don't have any sugar gliders (yet) and are just looking to meet someone who has them (to check about allergies) - same position as you, Steza! So I'm not sure how helpful we would be to you. But we are in the Cambridge area, if it helps.

other thing to start looking into is, do you have a vet locally who is used to exotics and has treated sugar gliders before,

make sure they do and dont just ask you what they are!
and get an idea of their charges to factor into your budgeting...
mine was 16 for a consult and any anaesthetic and op eg castration, xray etc is about 100
