Looking for a bit of advice... I have two females and one male living together. Both females had joeys oop the last couple of days. One of the females has killed both her babies (the last one just now - it was gone before I could do anything). What I need to ask is should I separate her from the other female and male just on case she goes for the other joeys?

Breeding trios don't always work with gliders.....  It'd be best to get your male neutered and let them just live happily as a NON breeding trio.  Removing her from the group will stress everybody out....  Not sure what else to suggest.  How old are the joeys?

id be very unsure what to do too as removing her could stress everyone out, making the mother with the babies kill her own young.

She might have killed them cos something was wrong with them, you never know. I really dont know what advice to give you really, apart from the usual keep a very close eye on them stuff.

Hey Bex, was this the groups first breeding? Mine did this the first time they had babies. Unfortunate that it is it can be quite common. The next time my group had young it was much better.

Hi mark, this was their first time breeding. One female had been quite a bit bigger with her pregnancy - could it be that when the first females babies came oop the second, whose bumps wher smaller, forced her babies oop too early? Just a theory.

Still had to joeys last night when I went to bed - too scared to check their bed thismorning to see if they are still alive :-(

this happened with mine the first time they bred.  i wouldnt worry too much especially as its there first time.  I have one female that always gets babies and the other not so much anymore.  its not very pleasant but keep going with it and hopefully it will sort itself out.

When I had a breeding trio years ago, one of my females always had the babies and the other would "lose" hers once her bumps got to a certain stage...  Hopefully yours will do better next time.

Thanks all for the advice. I left things as they were and hopefully the two remaining babies will be ok. Fingers crossed!
