My daughter and myself (both familys) have decided thet we want to go ahead in time to get a pair, they will be my daughters, but of course i will be responsable when she needs to go on holidays etc,so both need to agree that we can both give the time and care.We have read so much and our heads are on overload as you all can imagin.Do we get 2 girls, will they be happy together,2 boys we know they will need the (chop)and then they might not get as we found out with our 2 yorkies years ago.If we get a pair We both agree thet we wont want the next lot to come along before we have learnt about the first 2,and also we think that we do not rally want to become breeders, just enjoy what we have.We have read so much good advise on here that we need to know what you say,Girls, boys,or do we go along with one of each?? and not get in the way of nature. Also from what i see its quite hard to get one of each sex from differant owners,as they all say you must have one allready before i let you have this one so how do you start??any help??? Huh

If you get two brothers that are neutered, they'll be fine Smiley You could have a brother/sister pair (neutered boy), sisters, etc etc etc.

Thankyou for the reply,i understand that 2 brothers will be okay if neuterd, but from what i read and understand you have to have them first before this can be done then keep them apart for a while, whilst no one seems to say that girls have a problem living together?or have i got it wrong. It seems so hard to get a boy from one person and then a girl from another because when i ring people up to find out they all say unless you allready have one i wont sell you one by itself,so im stuck as to starting.if i manage to find one first which sex should be the oldest to have first, boy or girl.Hope this makes sense to you all.Yorkbabe

You don't have to keep them apart at all....  If they've always been together, they are fine together (even before neutering).  But you have to keep newbies separate for a while, anyways...  For introduction purposes and to let the testosterone die down after neutering.
