Hi everyone, I'm sure all these questions have been answered before but please bear with me as I need some help !
I'm fairly sure my girl Lola is carrying a joey, she has a lump on one side of her pouch which makes it easier to notice so I'm pretty certain she's in the club.

The first point is what I should be feeding her, I've ordered all the glidercal and boost etc from Shropshire exotics but I haven't ever fed them it before as it wasn't recommended to me by my breeder, they have fruit, veg iams biscuits and locusts nightly along with leadbeaters, ( until my other products arrive ) is this ok ? They also have Zolcal in there water bottle, could this be harmful ?

Secondly is should I stop the bonding process to reduce stress ? Lola is new and gets quite agitated when I remove the tent to try and bond, should I stop this as unnecessary stress ?

Thirdly, I'm fairly sure as I've checked the timescale that Lola was sold to me pregnant as she has only been with my male for 4 weeks and is already showing, will my male reject a Joey that isn't his and get angry at Lola ?

Any help would be great I really don't think I could cope with them cannibalising the Joey and want to do everything I can to stop it happening, Thanks.

You wont need to change her diet all that much, just try and get it as close to the 2:1 scale as you can. Heres some already worked out for you to help.

http://www.sugar-glider.co.uk/smf/index.php/topic,2165.0.html

Cut out the Leadbeaters though. its not needed and not a very good diet. And the locusts should be fed as a treat more then an actual food source as they have a poor nutritional value.

I havnt really heard of Zolcal but im assuming thats a calcium supplement? I wouldnt use it only because too much calcium can be just as bad as too less, and if you are getting the 2:1 diet correct, they should be getting plenty calcium from their food and the supplements from Shropshire Exotics.

I wouldnt stop the bonding process altogether, but if she is new and doesnt trust you yet, i would back off slightly. Just offer her locusts gently, not forcing her to come out or be picked up if she doesnt trust you yet, just feed her the locusts as treats and she will more then likely end up coming onto you herself.

Im not sure if the male will attack the female or not. Jen or Marie or Mark may be better with that one.

Males don't tend to take kindly to another male's joeys, I'm afraid.  Plus the stress of moving to a whole new home and meeting a new cagemate may make your Lola reject her joey, anyways.  Keep a very close eye on things and watch for signs that she's not happy.

Her "breeder" should be ashamed of himself.
