I've read everywhere that they should at least be kept in pairs for company.
Is it any better to have 3 or 4 rather than 2?
Will they fight if you keep too many together?
I was just wanting to buy two of them, but will obviously consider more if they would be happier. Or will more than 2 be too much of a handful for a first time owner? Sorry there are so many questions x

A trio is better than two in my opinon in case the worst happens and you lose one.  A glider that has just lost it's cagemate suffers a bit of a double whammy, they grieve the loss of their friend and also they're alone. Sad.  Both cause stress.

Does gender matter when buyng 3 of them? And they shouldn't fight as long as they come from the same 'family'?x

You can have a neutered male with two females, three neutered males, three females, two neutered males and a female, etc etc etc...  As long as any boys are neutered, you're not really restricted with your groups Smiley

thats great Smiley are you guys breeders or keep more than 2 together? Like I said I have never owned them before. I'v done as much research as I can but I know that actually owning them could be completely different to anything that i've read. Would more than 2 be difficult for a first time owner? Or is anything possible if enough commitment is put into looking after them x

I'm an ex breeder, and I keep trios, and quads.  I don't think 3 would be any more tricky than two.  But if you don't feel confident enough to have three then go for 2 and add one at a later date.  You will just need to make sure the newbie is around the same size as the largest glider. Smiley

I started out with 2 females then added to them afte a few years. Now I have a group of 5 2 females 1 intact male (from Marie) and 2 snipped males, which were the first 2 I ever bred.
