I've been reading through the topics about the initial bonding process when you first bring home your sugar gliders, the ones by Marie being extremely helpful *thankyou very much Smiley* and it's been said that the best time to start bonding is during the day or early evening as they are just waking up.

I'm hoping to be getting a pair of young females mid june, the question I have is that with the job I have I normally work evenings/nights. I start at 4pm and work anytime until 12-2am. I've become nocturnal myself and it always takes me a few hours from getting home from work to being tired enough to go to sleep. This is obviously time I cannot wait to be spending with my new suggies but for the initial bonding process is it more effective to be introducing myself to them at an earlier time?

My job is only part time and the scheduling is pretty relaxed so if it was better for me to work day shifts for a few weeks it really would be no problem, just thought I would ask advice as I want to have the best start with my suggies as possible x

You could carry them around in a bonding pouch when you're home, so they start to get to know you while they sleep by scent and sound Smiley

I was always going to do that anyway, but thanks for the reply. I'm just wondering about the time when hands get introduced into the bonding pouch lol. It is best when they are first waking because they are stil sleepy and probably more relaxed or too unaware of whats really happening to feel threatened?x
