Hi all

Just had my wee man castrated today and my vet advised to keep him separate from females for 3 weeks (although they were not sure as this was their first experience with suggies)

I've never heard of keeping males away from females post castration before - just wanted to check what you guys usually do and what your vets recommend?

Cheers

It is possible that he could impregnate the females for up to 4 weeks after the op. Personally I do not separate them as it's important to keep stress down to a minimum at this time.  If I say no, you must keep them together, you MAY end up with joeys.  If you want to avoid that then I would split the cage, allow them to play together when you can see what they're doing but don't leave them alone together!
