Hi! So, I was wondering if anyone has some advice about GOOD pet insurance companies that provide cover for Gliders.  Does anybody have any stories about any particular companies - good or bad -  so I can decide who I use?  My Puggies are covered by AFI and they are really good for doggies, but if anybody knows any other companies that have performed really well I would really like to know!

Personally, I wouldn't bother with insurance....  Just put money aside for emergencies each month.  I don't know of any insurance companies that cover for exotics, anyways...

Exotics Direct, but I personally wouldn't bother, as Jen said, put money aside each month.

Hi, I've not got any but hopefully soon! I've been doing the usual research type stuff and phoned exotic direct, got quoted £188.32 per year or 10 monthly payments of £18.83.

This covered everything and insured against all sorts. It covered £2,000 between both gliders (I want a pair) but there was a £50 excess for each vet bill.

I would hope a vet bill would not be much more than this, been told recently that antibiotics for, example, an eye infection costs approx £35 so I'd have to pay anyway!

Hope this was of some use. Know the post has been up a while so if too late hopefully will help someone else in same position  Smiley

Also they said if it died of unknown causes, to get a payout you need to pay for an autopsy which could be expensive depending on the vet  Sad
