Just wondered what time ur guys normally woke up? Mine don't seem to come out of their pouch until gone 1am ... is this normal? Im normally awake myself until 3-4am so I do get to spend time with them. The other morning, for the 1st time in ages, I was awake at 6.30 and they were still out in the cage but by 7am they had both gone back to bed. They seem to be sleeping upto 18hrs a day... is this normal? Or is it because they are young that they sleep more?

The are in my living room and during the day/evening i have the normal light on but around 9pm i turn the light off and just use a lamp which dims the room quite a lot. I dont mind them having this pattern atm as I work late evenings so when I come home they are awake but once i'm back at uni i'm going to have to start being in bed by midnight and I don't want to miss out on seeing them Sad

Are they just being lazy babies?x

hmm, my two start chittering in their pouch at about 8pm ish and tend to get up as I close the curtains.  I do tend to leave the lights off and just switch on the fish tank lights and have the telly on for light, they do go back to sleep after a little play though, thats when I go to bed usually.  Hubby gets up at 5am and says they are up and about and dying to get out at that time of day!
When they 1st got here they were being very lazy and sometimes would'nt get up until we all went to bed but I think thats just because they were dazed and confused by the move.  As they have got more used to us they have started to get up earlier, I wonder if its worth trying to err 'rouse' them when you close the curtains etc..maybe a bit of noise (clanging of food bowls?) would move them into getting out of bed?  Smiley
Although, yours are much younger than mine so maybe it is a baby thing and they just need more z's! Tongue

Mine wake up & get up around 9-9.30 pm ish, and they tend to go back to sleep at around 4/4.30ish in the morning. My sitting room gets the morning sun and so this is around the time that sunrise occurs.

I think to some extent they learn your hours and food time!
mine are always later in the summer so tend to not get up after dark....
but will usually surface about 11 ish as that is their normal tea time... however if they hear food earlier they will get up

and I have noticed if for some reason the lights are off in the room they get up earlier.

yes we should let them have their own routines...
but maybe worth introducing treat at time mid to late evenign so they start to associate that time with food?!
