Actually, I was completely naive of it until going to a gig with Gary (the hubby) when I announced that I smelled baby gliders  Roll Eyes  Embarrassed I honestly thought somebody had pet gliders and he had to explain to me that it was gliders...........

The only thing I've found that doesn't smell great is wooden ledges and boxes when they pee on them. Easily sorted by regular cleaning and I made perspex covers for the ledges.

They are very time consuming but lovely with it.

Oh dear GOD!!!  Wreck it for me why don't you!!  Smells like new born babies?  URGH!!!  I'd imagine that smell would be more like the tub of newborn boas that was brought to the shop yesterday, pungent, vomit inducing and disgusting!!!  Yes, I'm child free and that's how I intend to keep it! Smiley

The weed smell is the musk, if you get a really stressy adult that musks it smells exactly the same.

Jen, your gigs are definately full of fairies! Lol!

Can I be contrivirtual! um how do you spell it?!
they are both!
amazing cute, fun to watch, unique.
but they also do smell... even with 1-2 week cleaning and odour absorbing stuff like any creatuer they smell.
stronger than a hamster but not as bad as ferrets.

but non suggie people do notice and comment!

work.... well you are looking at several hours a week to prepare fruit prep and freeze it.
and obviously bonding time too, so yep you cant just get them and run

so yes they take time! but so does walking a dog!

I think if you are prepared for them they are great, and yes I would say once you have a routine they dont take much work....
but I do have to reluctantly admit that they do actually take more work than my housemates cat and my original hamsters (but I was prepared for that!)

get lots of exposure first, then you can make an informed choice unlike the non owner who told you his thoughts!

then there is cleanign out time and often stuff needs a scrub not just change of bedding.
