hey all

ok, Mr. T is 6wk oop, my friends sugargliders had him and she found him on the bottom of the cage bleeding and crying so she put him in a little tank with a heat pad, etc and fed him via syringe. Now I have him as she doesnt have the time for a joey. When I got him he was nearly bald, had a very poorly foot (which had got caught in bedding and was hanging off), and looked at deaths door. Now he looks healthy, has a big bushy tail, no bald bits, and his foot is absolutely fine.

I love him to bits and I need to put him in a bigger cage and get him a cagemate, but I dunno where to start looking?? I live in the north east of england.
He seems really happy and tame, and is loving the food I give him (pureed fruit, bigger chunks of fruit, fromage frais, water, baby milk and cheese, he also loves baby cereal. I need to start him on a better diet but I dunno where to start there either..

Basically Im a novice, I dont really have a clue what Im doing, but what I do know its that I love him to bits and want to keep him happy and healthy, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for listening

Hi, poor little Mr T!  I'm glad you have pulled him through and got him to this stage, well done!!!  Also you want a cage mate which is great news for him!

Diets - if you go to the diet section and look at 'My Diet', that's what I feed and also the majority of people on here feed, I've used it for almost a decade in one form or another.

Cages - have a look on ebay, suggies need a cage that is at least 4 ft tall even when they're still young but you need to be careful not to get a cage with too wide bar spacing.  No more than 15mm for an adult and no more than 12mm for a joey.

Ah, bless, well done you! You should be very proud, not only of Mr T for being brave, but yourself, especially being totally inexperienced. You're obviously exactly what he needs and he's lucky to have you!
Have a look at Tillie's ready made recipes for fruit n veg mix (they're fab and totally takes the stress outta figuring out correct Ca:Ph ratios etc) n then look at Marie's menu of what supplements to give/when etc and it makes it a piece of cake. All the stuff you need; supplements, treats, pouches etc you can get from Marie's online shop. When adding another, from what I gather the suggies need to be of the same size, but I'm not even going to pretend to know about that side of things.
I hope he keeps going as he is and gets bigger and stronger, you should post some pics so we can see the little fella!
You've def come to best place to get support, info etc.

All the best  Grin
