I would just offer citrus once or twice a week personally.

Lol, i see you've read my diarrhea topic ...

I was gutted, i've managed to make a mix with a WHOLE sweet potato in it (i've been strugglin with veg for a while) and I tried em with an orange for the first time.

Was hoping so much that they would eat it cs normally they turn their nose up at anythin with veg in and they licked their bowls clean! But 1 of them seems to have had the squirts last night ... the only thing I think it could be is the orange ...

I only give mine 1 mix a week so you can imagine I've made quite alot of this ... and now I don't wana risk feeding it again even though they ate with with vegetables in *pulls hair out!!*

MORTIFIED ...

I did indeed Helen. Think I might give it a miss, I'm in two minds Suggie squirty bum is not how I envisaged spending my wkend! Undecided
Mine seem to spoil me with how unfussy they are. Not keen on carrot mix but eat everything else! Just hope they realise their spoilt by the sounds of it with 2 recipes, lol. I was getting worried it wasn't enough and was gonna start giving more variety!!
Read other people's posts saying they won't crunch biscuits and mine picked it up 1st night and crunched away!
Does anyone know if they'll eat other veg like cucumber, brocolli, lettuce, cauliflower etc and if so what the ratios are?Still too dumb to work out recipes but all I would do is find something with same ratio and swap it  Roll Eyes

Hi Emma9383,

I always give mine half fruit, half veg mixes with no complaint (so far) and bowls licked clean.  My girls love tiny bits of cucumber without the skin as a treat too.

Here are some veggies I've tried with ratios:
spinach 2.0:1
green beans 1.0:1
sugar snap peas 0.8:1
sweet potato 0.8:1
broccoli 0.7:1
carrot 0.6:1
pumpkin 0.47:1

I had a print out of ratios from here which the previous owner gave me which is where these figures came from.

My husband has banned me from giving honeydew melon after I went out one night and he had the girls out.  Let's just say he had rivermud puddles all over the back of his white t shirt  Grin
