I'm not sure if this is a right place to put this topic BUT.. My younger glider Xaria is now about 1 year and 4 months old and she is so tiny! Half smaller than she's mother. She doesn't developed like a normal glider. She's left hand doesn't work at all and she can't climbing either. What can I do or can I do anything? We don't have here in finland any doctor who to tell me some fact's. Oh, and my another ''baby''glider Herbie have same peter pan syndrome! He is to tiny as Xaria but healthy. They is my first retard babies and hopefully last ones.
Every information is so welcome!

Love and light!

Firstly I would say stop breeding, which you are doing so that's good.

What do you feed your gliders?  Poor diet affects the development of the unborn and also as they grow and develop.  I'm not saying you're not feeding them properly but it's something we need to rule out.

Otherwise I would put it down to inbreeding or other genetic problems but it's impossible to tell without a thorough vet examination.

I'm allready neutering the male. I feed to my gliders worms, locusts, pumpkin seeds, nuts, grains ect.  grapes, apples, sharons ect. I try to support them natural, healthy and balanced diet. +vitamins of course.
Gliders came to me from Italy and petshop. No-one knows their genetic line.

Thank you Marie!

HI there Emie, can you give more details of the actual diet as what you have written doesnt dound very good.  Nuts and grains are not that healthy for a glider.  Read through our diet sheets and posts to see if you can improve your diet.
