Hi,

I've got a question is something is normal.

As told in my introduction i'm new to sugargliders and have them for a week now. All is going well but i have a question about last night.

Last night the two woke up like usual and started frolicking around. Their names are Kiwi and Elmo. Kiwi is the more trusting type while Elmo is a bit unsure of who he should trust. Kiwi is the relaxed suggie and Elmo the spazzer.

Last night i had the idea that Elmo sniffed up the whole mexican drugsupply from looking at his behaviour. A trampoline is not neccesary since he bounces around the cage like a rubber ball. All this time Kiwi was sitting on a branch keeping an eye on Elmo since he was up to no good.

What happened was that Elmo kept pouncing on Kiwi and i woke up twice tonight by Elmo barking on his blanket. The moment i went to the cage he stopped, looked at me and took off like a bat out of hell with his blanket X-D

In the morning i saw how he was annoying kiwi by pulling her legs and she reacted by crabbing at him.

Is this normal behaviour for two 8 month old suggies? Or do i have one relaxed suggie and a seriously hyperactive one that like to annoy the hell out of his cagemate?

Do you know if they were handled much by there previous owners?? We have taken gliders in before that have been stressed by coming to a new house and have turned on each other with a lot of scuffling. We watched them and kept an eye on the agression and after about 2 weeks they started to settle in. As for the evening craziness that has never stopped with backflips and gliding. You could try some natural feathers scattered around the cage which they will play with and collect up to keep them interested while your asleep. Also if you cn take the noise a wheel for them to run in as all of ours love the wheel (its funny when more than one jump in and they tumble out)

Its not that they attack eachother but Elmo loves to annoy Kiwi.

Just read your message but funny enough i bought them a few feathers and a big wodent wheel. They both love the feathers and Elmo is crazy about the wheel! Smiley Laughed my head off when the tried to run on top of it  Grin
