Yeah it is an issue if your looking at numbers and i did toy with a few different ideas but my plans are to breed within the groups they are coming in and tto neuter the males which are sold foring fresh blood in to the lines. Ultimatly depending on my success with the first groups I am likely to repeat the process back in the States. Ive had a couple more converstaions toninght and Im looking at MFF Leu MFF Mosaics and MM Leu but  the mosaics arent convrimed yet. There are some good sites on line for working out the genetics and using the USDA breeders does help with some of the pedigree being available. I have a good freind who is pretty clued up and has been advising as the genetics is by no means my trong suit.

You have certainly done your homework!

its a bit scary to invest a lot of time and money especially when you read about sterile lines and other defects. luckily for us here in the UK  the US breeders have had a few years to get their heads around things and work out which combinations of colours will be OK to breed together. Pedigrees are a must when breeding in this way, (i give out pedigrees with my joeys as i thinks its always a good idea for owners to know the background of their suggies anyway)

Its scarey but have to admit excited despite the financial risks involved the main thing really is that we get the right animals and they make it to us ok  Smiley
