As most of you will know I have had some massive ups and downs over the past 2 weeks, starting with my poor little Ollie becoming ill and passing away leaving our other rescue suggie Maddie alone. Then came the arrival of our beautiful new breeding pair (as yet unnamed...everything's been going too fast!) and then yesterday was the arrival of a 1 year old neutered male named Felix, who's cagemate died on Sunday and his owner's were looking to rehome him to someone with gliders.
Felix has the most beautiful fur I have ever seen on a glider, he just looks like a ball of grey velvet, and his owners obviously cared so much for him (they actually cried when they left

). He has really solved all the issues we had with having to wait until our breeding pairs' joeys grow up until we could intro them, and the possibility of not being able to intro if her bone density is too low.
Felix does originate from Mark Amey (though I've never had dealings with him myself, I've heard this is the point where you all say "BOOO! HISS!") and he appears to have given out some pretty dodgy advice.
On top of this, before we got our new gliders I had been in contact with a woman who was wanting to find a new home for her gliders for her mother, as she was getting too old to care for them, and they have recently gone off their food, so she wanted them to live with a larger troup. They had found a home for them, however despite all the interest all homes have fallen through so she gave me a call and they'll be coming to stay later this week once the boy has been castrated (I'm paying for it, but she's doing it at her local vet so I don't have to pay the premium my local vet charges!)
So in short I am overrun by beautiful beautiful fuzzbutts!!
OH and ontop of this I caught a glimpse of a tiny joey paw today, when mumma glider opened her pouch and gave them a lick
